Curly hair needs time and care. That’s why we allow longer appointments for these services, so we can understand your hair properly, shape it with precision, and style it in a way that works for your routine.

Mid-length curls: Allow up to 60 minutes
Long curls: Allow 75–90 minutes
Restyle or big change: Allow 90+ minutes

This includes your consultation, cut, cleanse, styling, refining and time to talk through home care if you’d like it.

We recommend arriving with your hair clean, dry, and styled how you usually wear it — down, in its natural state, and free from heavy products.

This helps us understand your curl pattern and how your hair sits when you’re styling it day to day. Avoid tying it up or using gels, oils, or heat tools on the day of your appointment.

We usually (but not always) cut curls wet to build a strong, balanced foundation, then refine the shape once dry. This gives consistent results and allows us to work with how your curls sit both wet and dry.

Do you cut curl by curl?

No — we don’t offer curl-by-curl cutting. Our method focuses on overall shape, structure, and balance to suit your curl pattern, density, and lifestyle.

What curl types do you work with?

All curl types are welcome — from loose waves (2B) to tight coils (4C). We tailor our approach based on your natural texture and how you like to wear your hair.

How should I arrive for my appointment?

Please come with your curls clean, washed 1-2 days before the appointment.

The hair should be dry, and worn down in their natural state — no ponytails, buns, or heavy products.

This helps us see your curl pattern clearly and understand how your hair naturally sits.

Will I get help with styling and products?

Yes. We finish every service with a full curl styling session and can talk you through a personalised home care routine using Aveda’s plant-based products if you’d like support between appointments.

How often should I get a curly cut?

We recommend a follow up appointment depending on your curl type, length and goals. Most clients return every 8-12 weeks to keep their shape fresh and healthy.
