Kayleigh Byrne Named BHA Newcomer of the Year Finalist
We are proud to announce that Tribe stylist Kayleigh Byrne has been named a finalist for Newcomer of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards 2026.
The British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, celebrate the best creative talent from across the UK hairdressing industry. Reaching the final is a major achievement and recognises the skill, ideas and hard work behind Kayleigh’s photographic collection.
Kayleigh began her career at Tribe as an apprentice and has continued to push herself throughout her development as a stylist.
Alongside building a loyal salon clientele, she has taken part in industry education, creative shoots and opportunities outside the salon. Her previous achievements include being named Fellowship Project Colour Achiever of the Year and joining the Fellowship’s Project X team.
Earlier this year, Kayleigh also won the 2026 British Hairdressing Awards Bursary. The bursary gave her the support to produce and enter her first British Hairdressing Awards collection.
To now be selected as one of only six Newcomer of the Year finalists makes the achievement even more special.
Kayleigh has grown from an apprentice into a talented and confident stylist. She has always been willing to learn, put herself forward and work hard for new opportunities. We are incredibly proud to see her work recognised at this level.
The nomination also reflects Tribe’s commitment to giving emerging hairdressers the training, support and opportunities they need to build long-term careers.
The winners of the British Hairdressing Awards 2026 will be announced later this year.
Congratulations, Kayleigh. Everyone at Tribe will be supporting you.
